Chris started in marching percussion in 1974 as a snare drummer with the North Bellmore FD Flames parade drum and bugle corps. He joined the Caballeros in 1979 as a snare drummer and became section leader in 1980. He played there until 1986 and was a percussion staff member in 1987 and 1988. His marching percussion arranging and teaching career began in 1980 with a small parade corps on Long Island known as the Lamplighters. He also arranged for the Flames from 1982-1986. He has arranged and taught many high school bands including West Babylon High School from 1981-1986, Copiague High School from 1985-1996, and Morris Hills High School from 1985-1986. All three programs produced numerous percussion awards including Best Percussion in TOB, EMBA, and USSBA championships. He was also the percussion arranger and caption head for the Sunrisers from 1994-1998 and the Caballeros from 2000-2002. Chris also plays jazz chromatic harmonica and has performed and recorded with the Harmonicats and numerous jazz artists in New York City. His harmonica career started in 1969 at the age of 9. By 13, he was playing with his father’s New York trio called “The Harmonikings” appearing in many venues in the New York City area. He is currently the Director of Engineering for the Fox News Channel in New York since 1999 and oversees all technical facilities and projects there.
