Lenny Keesee has served as the Percussion Director at Ledford High School in Thomasville, North Carolina since 2000. He is also the founder and director of the Ledford Indoor Percussion Ensembles (AIA / WGI). Under Lenny’s direction the percussion sections at Ledford have garnered numerous awards at marching band and indoor contests across North Carolina and Virginia. Keesee was a charter member of the Virginia Helmsmen (WGI) from Danville, VA performing with the ensemble from 1998 – 2002. He assisted the Helmsmen as a staff member during the 2003 through 2006 seasons. ‘VH’ was a six time WGI World Championships Finalist in addition to being WGI Percussion Independent Open Class silver medalists in 1998. 

Lenny’s biggest personal influences in the marching percussion activity have been Tim Bray, Allen Joanis and Josh Nelson. He has been a Dynasty USA member since 2002 and he is also a member of the Vic-Firth Education Team. Lenny resides with his wife Lacey and daughter Layla Cadence in Greensboro, NC.
